Individual Counseling Psychotherapy

Do you relate to any of the following?

  • Can’t stop obsessing about food or other things?
  • Feeling panicky or experiencing anxiety?
  • Sense of sadness or depression?
  • Struggles in your relationships, constant fighting with the ones you love most?
  • Trouble adjusting to a life change?
  • Grief or sadness over the loss of a loved one?
  • Struggling with an eating disorder or dealing with a loved one who is struggling?

If you said “yes” to any of the above, then you could benefit from individual therapy.

What is individual therapy?

Individual therapy is just that. A chance for you to meet one-on-one with a therapist. Usually it is for an hour or 50 or so minutes. It’s a chance for you to tell someone who is trained in psychological issues about the problems you are having. You have the opportunity to really be heard by someone who is outside of your situation and can sometimes see things from a different perspective and possibly a bit clearer.

Why go to individual therapy?

Sometimes getting an outside perspective is just what is needed. A trained therapist can help you get to the root of your problems by uncovering what is really bothering you and give you the opportunity to come up with ways to solve problems that you may not have thought of.
