Aubrey is an advanced graduate student in the Department of Marriage & Family Therapy at UNLV. She is an intern working under supervision at New Horizons. Aubrey is trained in working with individuals, couples, and families but especially enjoys working with couples. She has experience working with a variety of relational and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, communication challenges, and infidelity. Her areas of clinical interest include:
• communication in relationships
• sexual issues and sex therapy
• LGBTQIA+ individuals
• polyamory and non-traditional relationships
• women’s issues
• body image and disordered eating
• military families and veterans
• recovery from trauma
As an intern, Aubrey is not able to accept insurance. Her fee is $35 per session.
Aubrey offers services in English and French.
Aubrey’s approach to therapy involves systemic thinking: “What is the role of the client’s relationships and context?” She enjoys using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy models but takes a flexible approach to treatment. She believes in following her client’s goals for treatment focus and tailoring her approach to each unique client.
